As part of National Theatre Connections, Hackney Shed Collective were due to be performing 'The Marxist In Heaven' in April 2020, a brand new play written by Hattie Naylor.

Unfortunately, due to Covid 19 the on-stage version could not be performed so we turned it into a radio play instead!

A MAMMOTH REVOLUTION

Made by the Hackney Shed group at Jubilee Primary School in Hackney.

We decided to make a radio play when we had to cancel our rehearsals one week before our performance in March 2020.

CHANGE OF HEART

New beginnings, a new term and a whole new school for Amy. But things aren't going to plan. Maybe it's just a bump in the road or maybe it's the start of something special?

A new radio play written and performed by Hackney Shed's Young Company (16-19 years).

During lockdown we posted a new #HSTuesdayChallenge on our socials each week and you sent in your responses.

We asked you to dance, to sing, to illustrate & tell stories, to make instruments, to be silly and above all to BE CREATIVE.
