What We do

Hackney Shed Young Company is for 16-19yr olds who want to learn:

Acting (Film and Stage) Script Writing Directing Audition Techniques Improv and Devising

Young Company members are also given the opportunity to get involved at other Hackney Shed sessions as artistic supporters, gaining valuable work experience.

When & Where

Spring Term 2024:

From Jan-Feb we run a 6 week project in collaboration with Hackney Empire where young people devise and shoot their own short film.  Young people can choose to focus more on acting, writing or directing at this stage.

Summer Term 2024:

In May/June we run a 5 week project in collaboration with Hackney Empire on Audition Techniques, which includes Monologues and Group work as well as mock auditions.
