Hackney Half 2026!
This year marks Hackney Shed’s 25th anniversary, and we’re celebrating in a big way. In 2025, ten incredible runners took part in the Hackney Half on behalf of Hackney Shed, smashing our £4,000 target and raising an amazing £4,764 to support our work. Inspired by that success, 25 fantastic runners have signed up for 2026, and together we’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal of £12,500. Every donation helps us move closer to making our anniversary year a truly impactful one.

Going once, going twice..!
What’s the auction for?
We’re turning 25 this year! To celebrate, we’re launching an online auction from June to September to raise funds to cover the costs of running Hackney Shed.
We work hard to ensure that everyone can afford to come to us at little to no cost. However, we have costs and like any business, we pay our artistic and administrative staff, venue hire and even things like the cost of being a charity. (It’s around £3,000pa to do our accounts and be examined which has to be submitted to the Charity Commission).
Are you looking to volunteer your time or are you a business who can donate items?
Volunteer:
Our virtual auction hall needs items, and we need your help to stock it.
The aim of this game is simple: approach a local business and get them to agree to donate something they sell to us.
You’ll receive a paper flyer to hand over, and you’ll let us know who you’ve approached and how they responded.

What can your business do to help?
Donate a product or service to us! Our online auction house is currently empty and we’re looking for stock. Your gift will help pay for us to continue to bring joy and connection to young people in Hackney.
