Calling young actors and creatives aged 7-25 years old! Do you want to create an exciting new performance?
Join us for our Untold Stories workshops to devise a new play inspired by Hackney stories past, present and future.
Collaborating with young creatives and professional directors and designers, you will work together to create the Untold Stories play that will be performed at Hackney Shed Fest on 20th August. You must commit to attend all sessions below to join this

PLAYWRITING WORKSHOPS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 13 - 19 YRS
Delivered by Royal Court Theatre
Are you a budding playwright? Maybe you just enjoy creative writing or telling stories? Come along to our 2-day playwriting workshop. Work with a professional playwright from The Royal Court to create new writing. These scripts will be used later for the starting point of a stage combat workshop. These workshops are open to all, no matter how much writing you have done.

STAGE COMBAT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 13-19 YRS
Delivered by Fight Director and Actor Austin Spangler
Stage combat is an incredibly exciting skill to learn. Austin Spangler was the Action Director at the Royal Opera House for several years and works as a stunt artist and fight director on shows all over the world. He is coming for one afternoon only to teach you some fighting moves! We will use scripts created by other young people earlier in the week as the basis of our scene work.

CIRCUS WOKSHOP FOR VARIOUS AGE GROUPS
Delivered by The National Centre for Circus Arts
Ever want to learn to juggle? Or walk across a tightrope? Come along to one of our Circus Workshops. These workshops will take place in the National Centre for Circus Arts and be delivered by professional circus artists. Young people will have the opportunity to try multiple disciplines from juggling and tightwire, to acrobatic inspired games. Workshops are for any level or ability.

Play story building games, explore fascinating books for inspiration, discover the hidden corners and strange staircases of a beautiful old building to get your imagination working. SAMBA DRUMMING WORKSHOP FOR VARIOUS AGE GROUPS
Delivered by Taru Arts
Who loves a carnival? Come along to one of our Samba drumming workshops with Taru Arts. Young people will get the chance to learn different Samba patterns and create a piece that we can parade around the Museum of the Home on our Shed Fest day on 20th August.

PUPPETRY WORKSHOP FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 16-25 YRS
Delivered by Little Angel Theatre
We are looking for puppeteers! Little Angel Theatre are creating a large walkabout puppet for our Festival day on 20th August and we need some young people to help us finish it off and learn to move it through the park. Work with a professional puppet maker and puppeteer to bring our big puppet to life!

DESIGN WORKSHOP FOR ALL AGES 7-25 YRS

Are you interested in creating costume, set and props? Come along to our 2 day design workshops and help to create the design for Untold Stories, our devising project. These workshops will respond to the ideas that have come out of the first two days of the devising project. The costume, props and set that young people create will then be used by the young actors in their performance the following week. Come and get creative and see how we can use ordinary everyday materials to create truly extraordinary things!

Please come for 6pm to enjoy some workshops with all the family! See some of the things that have been happening over the last couple of weeks. At 7pm we will watch our performance of Untold Stories, created by young people over the last two weeks. After the performance we will have food and birthday cake!
