HACKNEY SHED COLLECTIVE (16-25 YRS WITH ADDITIONAL NEEDS)
WHAT WE DO
Collective is open to anyone aged 16-25 years old but we forefront the talents of young people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
We run a variety of projects including weekly rehearsals leading up to a performance, weekend masterclasses, holiday projects , films and a yearly collaboration with NT Connections. We go see plays together and use them as inspiration to create our own work.
Collective members feedback on the areas of theatre they want to explore. Areas we have focused on so far include carnival, film, music and design.

OCTOBER HALF TERM 2024
We are collaborating with Relish Theatre for this exciting project. Facilitators from Relish Theatre will work with young people to create their own Drag persona and costume out of recycled materials. Then we will devise a fabulous show which explores and showcases these characters to friends and family!
Taking part in this project will also mean an opportunity in early 2025 to go see Relish Theatre’s Drag Cabaret at a professional theatre in London.
This workshop was developed alongside Relish Theatre’s show Acid’s Reign which is a Drag show about the climate crisis.
Dates: Tuesday 29th Oct, Wednesday 30th Oct, Thursday 31st Oct
Times: 11am – 4pm
Location: Sutton House, 2 and 4 Homerton High St, London E9 6JQ
